A building management system earns its place when it does three things well: controls the mechanical plant reliably, reports what matters to the people who operate the facility, and integrates the other systems — fire, security, metering, OT — without a second platform. ESC delivers Honeywell BMS on the Niagara Framework for exactly that, using BACnet and Modbus to bring third-party equipment into one supervisory layer.

ESC holds Honeywell Gold Partner 2026 status under the Catalyst META BMS Program, a separate programme certificate from the fire programme. The BMS scope covers design of the points schedule and architecture, controller and field device supply, panel and field installation, Niagara programming and graphics, witnessed commissioning and long-term support in the Kingdom.

Questions consultants ask

BMS and smart buildings — frequently asked

Is the Niagara Framework open to other vendors' equipment?
Yes. Niagara integrates BACnet and Modbus devices natively, which is how ESC brings chillers, generators, UPS, ATS, meters and OT equipment from other manufacturers into one supervisory layer.
Can ESC take over an existing BMS or only build new ones?
ESC designs new systems and also extends or integrates existing ones where the protocols and documentation allow. The starting point is a survey of the installed controllers and points, then a proposal for the supervisory layer.
Who executes the fire cause-and-effect — the fire panel or the BMS?
Both, by design. Life-safety actions stay on the fire system's monitored outputs; the BMS executes the mechanical responses in the matrix and reports them. ESC tests the sequence end to end when it delivers both systems.
What does the command centre see?
Operator graphics on the Niagara platform with alarms by priority, trend data and the status of integrated systems, so the facility team works from one picture rather than several vendor screens.
