Physical security is where the site meets the outside world: the approach road, the vehicle checkpoint, the pedestrian entrance and the fence line. ESC designs and delivers the equipment that controls those points — hostile vehicle mitigation, barriers, gates, turnstiles and perimeter detection — with the civil, electrical and control interfaces that make the equipment work as a system rather than a set of products.

Design baselines follow HCIS requirements for regulated facilities and PAS 68 impact ratings for vehicle barriers where the risk assessment calls for them; final selection follows the consultant specification and the authority's requirements. Every barrier, gate and turnstile is integrated with Honeywell access control and video, so an event at the perimeter appears in the security control room with the camera view and the credential record attached.

What does PAS 68 mean for the barrier selection?
PAS 68 is an impact-test standard for vehicle security barriers. Where the risk assessment calls for a crash-rated product, ESC selects equipment with the appropriate PAS 68 rating and includes the test certification in the material submittal.
Does ESC design to HCIS requirements?
For regulated facilities ESC uses HCIS requirements as the design baseline for the perimeter and entrance systems. Final selection follows the consultant specification and the authority's requirements for that site.
Can the barriers and turnstiles be managed from the access-control system?
Yes. Barriers, gates and turnstiles are configured as controlled points in Honeywell Pro-Watch, with video call-up in the Honeywell video platform, so the security control room manages the perimeter and the doors from one system.
Who handles the civil works?
